The Light and The Lighthouse
Location: Bass Harbor Lighthouse, Acadia National Park.
Can you feel the front begin to pass with the movement of the clouds?
After a rainy day had begun to clear during a week long camping trip to Acadia National Park. I decided to take a chance and head to Bass Harbor Lighthouse Acadia National Park for a sunset moment. The hunch to go to the lighthouse paid off as there was no one else around at the time of arrival and there was a good tide for getting down onto the rocks and all just as the sun was beginning to drop below the clouds and light up the sky. You could probably do countless trips to Bass Harbor Lighthouse for sunset but it takes some time and a little luck to get such color and dynamic cloud interest that makes this one of my favorite Acadia National Park photographs I've taken.
